Anos 90 e a Band resolvia passar/reprisar Akira na madrugada. Enquanto não começava, só me restava brigar com o sono pra me manter acordado com o meu irmão. O fato de ele ser mais velho que eu era uma agradável coincidência, enquanto Big Brother dizia respeito àquela ficção (1984) do gênero literário que ele me apresentou — a distopia. É pena que o Big Brother não tenha ficado só na ficção. E pra acatar a sugestão de um cara que ele gosta de ouvir: You Are Not a Gadget, de Jaron Lanier.
